The Los Angeles-based band was formed in 1994 as Kara’s Flowers by high school friends Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick. They later reformed as Maroon 5 in 2001 and have since become one of the most successful pop bands of all time.
